TITUS Welcome Team
"Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone." -Colossians 4:5-6 |

Titus Welcome Group
Someone once said, "A true friend is somebody who, after asking how you are, waits for an answer." If you think about it, that's true!
Just what is the "Titus Welcome Group"? Jesus said in John 13:35, "By this everyone shall know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one for another." The welcoming group is a "discipleship committee". This group is for the purpose of setting ourselves apart for the specific responsibility of showing Christian love to those new in Titus. We must keep our eyes peeled and our greeting gear in check! ; )
But why go to the trouble of forming a whole group for this? Can't people just assimilate on their own? Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. We're here for those "no" cases. The Christian community is one that has an enormous impact on those involved. No one should have to miss out!
By being a part of the welcoming team, NOTHING in our actions should change. We mustn't give ourselves the title "greeter" and then begin living up to it. Joining the welcoming team should be to gain support for a job we're already hard at work in. In some way or another, I hope we all become welcomers. Individuals, in or out of a relationship with Christ, are each important. While this is just one small aspect of Christian living, bringing others into His community can have a profound effect.
Whether you're in this branch of Titus LST groups or not, we should all follow the commission the apostle Paul gives us in Colossians 4:5: "Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity." We must become "true friends" to more than just ourselves.
